Spicy Indian Chicken recipe

Key Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 Cup Onion paste
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic paste
  • 1 Tbsp Ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Cup Tomato Puree
  • 2-3 whole green chillies
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 kg chicken pieces
  • 1 Cup Coriander leaves
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • Whole spices and Bay leaf
  • Two pieces of potatao

Dish Preparation:

  • Take oil and heat in a large pan with ghee together over a medium flame. add the whole spices like elaichi, long, daarchini and Tej patta.
  • Then add onion paste and cook for a minute or two to get a golden pink color.
  • Then add ginger and garlic paste and stir well.
  • Cover the pan and let it cook for few minutes to get a little thick paste on a medium low flame. If required add some water time to time till the oil surfaces.
  • Then add turmeric powder along with salt and stir well.
  • Add tomato puree and cook for a minute.
  • Take the potatoes and mix with salt and turmeric and fry in oil in a pan for few minutes. Then add the potatos into the masala mix.
  • Add coriander powder, red Chilli powder, cumin powder and Garam Masala.
  • Put all the chicken pieces in the gravy and cook for till chicken boils. Keep stirring and adding water time to time as per requirement.
  • Once cooked, garnish with fresh coriander leaves and green chillies and serve hot. Your spicy Indian chicken curry is ready.
