Gajar ka Halwa (Sugar free)

Key Ingredients

  • 8-10 medium sized grated carrots
  • 3-4 tbsp Desi ghee
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 tsp green cardamom powder
  • 10-15 Sultanas
  • 1/3 cup – any approved sugar substitute
  • 1/3 cup grated khoya
  • 10-12 blanched, peeled and sliced pistachios
  • 8-10 nos. of blanched kaju pieces

Dish Preparation:

  • Take a non-stick pan and heat the pure ghee in medium flame. To it, add the grated carrots and saute for about 6-8 minutes.
  • Now, add the skimmed milk and cook in medium to low flame. Keep stirring constantly to avoid burning of carrots.
  • Add the green cardamom powder, sultanas, sugar substitute and mix. Cook for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Now, add the grated khoya and mix well. Keep cooking and stirring till the mixture thickens and dries up.
  • Garnish with pistachios and kaju. Serve hot or cold.
